El discurso del Rey y El origen, las grandes ganadoras
El drama histórico y el film de ciencia ficción consiguieron el mayor número de estatuillas, cuatro cada uno. Pero la película de Tom Hooper ganó el rubro más deseado. Los triunfadores.

"The King's Speech" ("El discurso del Rey"), filme británico sobre la tartamudez del rey Jorge VI de Inglaterra, logró el Oscar de mejor película en la 83 edición de estos premios de Hollywood donde obtuvo cuatro galardones en total, los mismos que "Inception" (El origen).
La cinta de ciencia ficción "Inception" fue la otra gran vencedora de la noche en las categorías técnicas donde recibió cuatro estatuillas.
